Colab Workshop Video Tutorial
ArcGIS Pro Tutorial
- ArcGIS Pro can be used to visualize geospatial data (data associated with geographic locations). One of its simplest uses is plotting points on a map, but it can also be used to do data analysis. The video below is an example of mapping the locations of grocery stores in New Orleans. (Note: I downloaded the data as a CSV file because I think most people’s data is going to be created by them and not downloaded from the Internet. If you have the option to download your data as a Shapefile, use that instead. A shapefile is already a feature class and will automatically show up on the map, so you avoid the steps of editing the latitude and longitude data in the CSV file and converting the data into an XY coordinate system in ArcGIS Pro.) Feel free to send me a Slack message with any questions! -Emma
