About The Data Lab

At CAIDS, we offer three dynamic student programs designed to cultivate a co-curricular data-minded community on campus that actively works to make data skills accessible, relevant, applicable, and ethical for undergraduate and graduate students.

Student Engagement Objectives:

Through our programs, we engage with students to:

  1. Build mutually supportive and interdisciplinary data-minded communities.
  2. Apply data equity frameworks to our work as a tenet of data literacy.
  3. Make data literacy skills and work accessible and relevant for all students.
  4. Become users, researchers, makers, and critics of data knowledge.

These paid opportunities help students build a diverse portfolio, gain data literacy skills, and join data communities on campus. We welcome students working at all skill levels and across all fields.
